commUNiTY Card

Membership Rules

(as of 5-14-2016)

 

 

- The Dance commUNiTY Affiliate Network Organization from herein shall be referred to as “the commUNiTY

- An individual Membership Card holder from herein shall be referred to as “Member

- Service Provider from herein shall be referred to as “Provider

- An Event Organizer/Producer/Host from herein shall be referred to as “Producer

 

 

MEMBERS

Any Member found to be in breach of membership rules may have his/her card membership revoked and removed from the network database indefinitely. Every Provider around the country will have access to the “Revoked Members” list and has the right to refuse any membership benefits to a revoked member.

 

1.   Membership card along with a valid government issued ID or school ID with a picture must be presented to have any discounts validated.

 

2.   You must purchase a minimum of $10 for the product or service to receive a discount.

 

3.   Members must verify through the commUNiTY website that Providers are affiliated with the commUNiTY network. You can also email us at info@thedancecommunity.com for verification. All affiliated commUNiTY events will also be posted in the ‘Calendar‘ section.

 

4.   Providers have the right to refuse discounts for charity events where at least 70% of the proceeds are going towards the charity.

 

5.   Card may not be used in conjunction with other non-commUNiTY discounts or promotions for exactly the same product or service unless the Provider chooses to approve it.

 

6.   For dance classes, cards are valid for:

     -  Single class walk in’s

     -  Session sign up’s for newly registered students not already belonging to that particular facility.

Existing students that become members of the commUNiTY during mid-session will be given a member discount on their next session purchase.

 

7.   Members will not try to illegally copy, manipulate, deface or change the card details. Any alteration of the card will deem it void and unusable.

 

8.   Any cards that are unreadable will need to be replaced. Go to the ‘commUNiTY card‘ section on the website or email us at cardresolution@thedancecommunity.com.

 

 

PROVIDERS

Any Provider not adhering to the following membership affiliation rules will be subject to being removed indefinitely from the commUNiTY network at the sole discretion of the Dance CommUNiTY Affiliation Network Organization.

 

1.   You must honor all discounts to Members with a valid commUNiTY card.

 

2.   The *MINIMUM discounts will be honored at the following rates:

      a  $2 off for any product or service $20 or under (minimum $10)

      b. 5% + $2 off for any product or service over $20

 

*The discountable amount can be more than the minimum rate. Even though we cannot tell you how much to discount above the minimum, we ask that you be fair and reasonable as this network program is designed to help dancers and patrons of the card experience a positive buying experience and also help them to save some money within the dance & movement community.

 

3.   To be eligible for a commUNiTY discount you are providing, members must present the card in conjunction with a pictured government issued ID such as a drivers license or a valid current school ID (unless the card holder is a minor and doesn't have a picture license).

 

4.   Membership cards are independent of any other non-commUNiTY discount or promotion, and not valid to be used along with any non-commUNiTY discount or promotion unless the Provider's wish to honor the commUNiTY discount on top of the Provider discount. This will be at the sole discretion of the Provider.

 

5.   For dance, yoga, cheer and fitness classes, cards are valid for:

      -  Single class walk in’s

      -  Session sign up’s for new students that are not already part of the host studio/facility

 

6.   Use of the commUNiTY logo

      -  You will include the green and blue commUNiTY logo on your website/social media and promotional event material to let Members know you are a commUNiTY Accredited Provider.

      -  A digital version of the commUNiTY logo can be emailed to the Provider by the commUNiTY staff upon request.

      -  If your business is located at a physical address, the commUNiTY logo must be located in clear view of Members upon entering the facility.

      -  commUNiTY stickers can be provided to the Vendor by the commUNiTY staff via mail.

 

7.    Amendments

      -  Amendments will be made periodically as needed to uphold the high standards the commUNiTY has set for the program.

      -  All amendments will be updated on the website in the ‘News’ and ‘commUNiTY card‘ Membership section and go into effect immediately.

      -  From the time of publishing a Provider will have 30 days to appeal the amendment or cancel their membership.

      -  A Provider cancellation will be honored immediately and they will be removed from the commUNiTY network and from the website if Provider does not agree with the new amendment.

 

8.   Cancellation Policy

      -  A Provider can cancel at any time by clicking here or email us at support@thedancecommunity.com with the subject header as 'Service Provider Cancelation' along with your state, type of Service Provider you are and reason for cancelation.

      -  Upon receipt of the email, a Vendor's cancellation will be honored between 2-5 business days and they will be removed from the commUNiTY website.

      -  Vendor must remove all affiliation with the commUNiTY from their websites/social media and ALL promotional material within 48 hours of their email notification of cancellation to the commUNiTY staff.

 

 

PRODUCERS

Any Producer not adhering to the following membership affiliation rules will be subject to being removed indefinitely from the commUNiTY network at the sole discretion of the Dance CommUNiTY Affiliation Network Organization.

       - Producer MUST put the green and blue commUNiTY logo on their website/social media and promotional event material to be considered as a commUNiTY endorsed/affiliated event. If printed media has already been distributed, please contact us so we can work out how the commUNiTY logo will be added to the event in the way of re-print and/or online advertising.

       - A digital version of the commUNiTY logo can be emailed to the Provider by the commUNiTY staff upon request.

 

6.    Producer must provide the same discount submitted and stated in the Events form. No changes are allowed to be made to the commUNiTY discount rate unless authorized by the commUNiTY Team.

 

7.    Once an event has been posted onto the calendar, the event promoter will not be allowed to pull the commUNiTY discount until AFTER the event is over.

 

8.    Amendments
